Pupils' and teachers' desks
You can choose from an extensive collection of school furniture, including desks for students and teachers. The desks meet high ergonomic standards and can be fully adapted to your wishes. It is possible to fit the desks with a monitor or to equip the lecturer’s desk with a built-in visualiser, operating system or tablet. All with the aim of transferring information to students as efficiently and comfortably as possible.
Pupils and students spend hours every day at school and college. Ergonomic workstations are therefore of great importance. BIS has various items of furniture in its range which have been specially developed for use in schools. Not only for students and pupils, but also for the teacher. And not just for the classroom, but also for study plazas, multimedia centres and other public workplaces. An additional special feature of the furniture in the BIS range is that monitors and ICT equipment can be easily integrated into the desks.
With BIS, you can choose from an extensive collection of furniture, including desks for pupils at primary schools and versions for students at universities. These desks meet high ergonomic requirements and can be adapted to your wishes. For instance, it is possible to equip the desks with a monitor which is either located below the glass worktop or raised from the tabletop using a lift system. With both solutions, you can benefit from the opportunities of the digital age, but the monitors are not continuously in sight, thus maintaining transparency in the classroom.
The furniture is designed in such a way that a keyboard, mouse and PC can also be fully integrated in the unit. Thanks to this, they are also suitable for use in multimedia centres, study plazas and other public workplaces.
Many lecturers have a fixed PC standing next to their desk, for example the PC for the digital whiteboard, with the monitor on the desk. Because the monitor is on the desk, the lecturer loses both workspace and his/her view of the classroom. By locating the monitor below the worktop, both problems are solved. At the same time, there is also the possibility of positioning a (fixed or mobile) instruction table, round on three sides, up against the lecturer's workstation. This quickly and easily creates extra space for student instruction at the desk. The lecturers' desks are available in various designs – colours, sizes, positioning of glass plate etc. – and can be adapted to suit your needs Furthermore, it is also possible to integrate a control panel or document camera in the desk.
